On Friday, February 17, 2017, Tenochtitlan "T-Dog" Nava scored a four-round unanimous decision victory against Thomas Smith at the Belasco Theater in Downtown, Los Angeles.

Nava was in for a tough fight as he tested his come-forward, aggressive style against the more elusive style of Thomas Smith.

Though encountering some trouble closing the distance in Round 1, Nava began unleashing hard shots to the body of Smith, who slowly wore down as the fight progressed.

By Rounds 3 and 4, Nava had found his rhythm and found no trouble cutting the distance to land shots to the body and head of Smith.

All judges scored the fight for Nava with scores of 40-36, 40-36 and 39-37.
“I started out slow in this fight, I felt the need to be cautious with him but he definitely woke me up,” said Nava.
"I knew he was going to move around, and he would block my blows with his counter."

"I want to thank all the Marching Skulls from Westside Boxing who came to support me and this win,” said Nava.

On Friday, November 4, 2016, Tenochtitlán "T-Dog" Nava scored a four-round majority decision victory against Ricky Vazquez at the Belasco Theater in Downtown, Los Angeles.

The fight was streamed on RingTVLive.com on a card that was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions.

Though Vazquez started strong by boxing on the outside, Nava slowly wore him down with right hands to the body.

In Round 1, Nava landed a hard right hand that sent nearly knocked Vazquez down, sending him tumbling into the corner.

Though Vazquez attempted to box on the outside, he did not want to engage with Nava. This was especially the case in Round 4, where Nava continually pushed forward while Vazquez, with a very awkward style, attempted to counterpunch with little success.

Nava won with two scores of 59-57, while one judge had it a 55-55 draw.

“I did get frustrated through certain points in the fight,” said Nava.

“His fighting style was slick, and he was able to get in and get out with ease. At that point, my corner encouraged me to step in and use my jab to break in. This was a good experience for me, and I’m glad I got to fight a boxer with a style that I haven’t seen before, and get the win.”

On Saturday, October 22, 2016, the Fabela Boxing Club in Carson, California hosted a 21-fight amateur boxing show in Carson, California.

Four of Westside Boxing's amateur fighters participated in the day's event. Flyweight Jan Salvatierra and Light Welterweight Jose Concepcion scored spectacular knockout victories, while Welterweight Gabriel Avila scored a decision win.

Brian Estrada, a Flyweight, lost in a tough, competitive matchup that went to decision.

In attendance were, as always, a large portion of Westside's "Marching Skulls," along with professional boxers Tenochtitlan Nava and Rafael Gramajo.

The amateur team will look to return in the coming weeks, while Nava is scheduled to fight on the November 4 edition of Golden Boy Promotions' LA Fight Club.

On Tuesday, February 9, 2016, Golden Boy Promotions and Westside Boxing Club announced that the Los Angeles, California gym will now serve as an official ticket seller for the promotions' LA Fight Club events at the Belasco Theater in Downtown, Los Angeles.

Since the beginning of 2015, Golden Boy Promotions has used LA Fight Club as a local place to grow its pool of young talent with fighters such as Julian Ramirez, Abraham Lopez, Christian Gonzalez and Nick Arce.
